World Week for Animals in Laboratories (WWAIL) is an annual event designed to expose the plight of animals used for testing and research. WWAIL seeks to educate the public about the scientific, moral, and economic objections to animal experimentation, also known as vivisection.
In 1986, in an effort to increase the effect of the event, In Defense of Animals (IDA) expanded a day of observance for lab animals into a week-long observance. Since then IDA has served as the international coordinator for WWAIL.
Join Animal Connection of Texas (ACT) in a peaceful demonstration against the University of Texas Dallas’ unjust treatment of animals in their laboratories. If you're not sure where you stand on the issue, check out this great interview with Dr. John J. Pippin about animal experimentation.
Alicia Townsend hosted the last demonstration against UTD, which was picked up by The UTD Mercury. Let's try to ruffle a few more feathers this time!
