Bliss set to RAWK Dallas!

Ready to get blissed out, Dallas? Bliss Raw Café & Elixir Bar is set to open on April 28. Lisa Petty (DallasEats) and I were invited to attend a tasting of Bliss' menu this past weekend.

Check out my write-up on the Dallas Observer's City of Ate

And take a look at some of the rawkin' food we sampled!

Strawberry Sheezecake: Crazy Amazing!

Rawko-Tacos and Choco Salad: We both loved the Tacos!
Lisa was diggin' on that chocolate infused cabbage salad.

Nori Bites: Tasted SO real, they freaked me out!
Lisa loved 'em!

Coconut Berry Parfait: Like an ice cream & berry dream-come-true!

awesome awesome! news this week, as promised :) I think I'm trying a 5 day raw vegan 'challenge' for myself starting tomorrow, so this certainly inspires me.

Speaking of the 'smallness' of the place - I can only imagine parking is going to be a complete nightmare looking at it - is there even more than a couple places to park?

Jamey, you rawk (yes, more bad puns)! And I won't stop until I make everyone's brain sad :)

A 5 day challenge is totally doable, but do some serious research beforehand. My first raw challenge was miserable! Mostly because I had no clue what I was doing. I ended up with major stomach cramps, headaches, and general crankiness...and I'm usually a pretty pleasant person :) I now eat highly raw during my typical work day and lightly steam some veggies (and the occasional bowl of beans) once I get home. But I always eat a raw frozen fruit snack right before bed...usually mangos or papaya (great for digestion).

Bliss will have shared parking with the building next door. I don't remember it being any worse than Cosmic--and we've been dealing with that mess for years.

I'm so excited about Bliss! Those tacos were out of control--FOR REAL! And that sheezecake...DUDE.

Nice! I hadn't heard about this place- where is it located?

Looks yummy! Hope you do delivery north of the border... Tulsa, OK... we have nothing here. This looks Rawlicious!

Okay, so this has nothing to do with your post (although everything looks yummy), I just had to brag. I made a vegan chocolate cake with frosting last night (because I was dying for some chocolate) and brought it up to work today so that I wouldn't be tempted to eat it all at home. Everyone LOVED it. They could not tell that it was vegan. Yay for me!

Thanks for this - I am so excited about Bliss finally opening, hurray! Though I, too, am a little concerned about the parking...?

Marciferous, I imagine that parking at Bliss will encourage guests to practice patience and INNOVATION! It's a small place with few spaces, but dart station parking is really close :) ...just my thought as I am considering where I will be parking!

I was so excited about trying Bliss on my way back to Austin from Oklahoma. After driving past it once, I finally found it on the way back. After a second U-turn, I realized that there *wasn't* any place to park. I am confused my this "shared parking with the restaurant to the north" bit. I didn't see anything else right there...?

I was looking forward to eating here, but after almost getting run over by some cars after I tried to back out of the (not) parking spot on the left side of the building, I gave up and went to Marco's Pizza.

Ideas? I'll be passing through at least twice more this month, and would love to give it another go.
